Printing Your Past offers bookshop quality books tailored to your stories, iamges and information.  With a choice of designs and a range of presentations there is a book to your suit your needs.  Here is the opportunity to tell the story of your family's heritage and to create an heirloom that will be admired and cherished for years to come.

Old photos of your ancestors may continue to fade or be damaged and lost. We can turn them into magnificent hand painted oil on canvas paintings. We have produced many wonderful results. Simply send us the photo of your ancestor either by email...or by maill. We will scan the picture you send and return it...or we will use the emailed image to create a colour, painted portrait in the size yoiu nominate...frame it and send it to you...wherever you are around Australia ...or around the world.

Open Hours
  • Visitors are welcome to use the genealogical reference resources in the Family History Room whenever the Gisborne Library is open. Refer to the Goldfield Library Corporation website for the opening hours of the Gisborne Library. Gisborne Genealogical Group volunteers are available to assist members and visitors on Thursday afternoons from 2.00pm to 5.00pm from February to November inclusive. The Gisborne Genealogical Group does not undertake research for people. Our aim is to foster interest in family history research and to continue to build our collection of resources.

The Gisborne Genealogical Group brings together people from across the Macedon Ranges with a shared interest in family history research.

The Group holds monthly informative talks and maintains a collection of family history resources in the Gisborne Library.

Our Family History Library is a reference library that contains a growing collection of over 800 books, thousands of fiche, data CDs and DVDs, journals and maps.

The Wonthaggi and District Historical Society had its beginning in the late 1950's when a number of interested citizens saw the need to preserve Wonthaggi's history. A public meeting was held and the historical society was formed. Over the ensuing years the collection of artifacts has grown, as has its collection of photographs and documents. The society has copies of most local newspapers, some dating back to 1910; audio tapes of many and varied speakers with their rich tapestry of experiences and observations.

The Prahran Mechanics' Institute library has been specialising in Victorian history for over 30 years. It is an indepth research collection containing over 30,000 items relating to Victorian cities, towns, regions and localities as well as their people and families, businesses and industries, schools and services, clubs and recreation, crime and police, religion and politics, natural history and prehistory.

Heritage Hill Museum and Historic Gardens

Heritage Hill is a unique historic precinct featuring three beautifully preserved buildings in two acres of landscaped gardens. Laurel Lodge (1869), Benga House (1936) and St James Anglican Church (1864) survive as fine examples of 19th and early 20th century architecture and offer visitors an insight into Dandenong’s transformation from a rural market town to a bustling, multicultural metropolis.

The Royal Historical Society of Victoria (RHSV) was formed in 1909 and is a community organisation committed to collecting, researching and sharing an understanding of the history of Victoria. With the support of a large number of volunteers, the RHSV provides a full program of activities (e.g. lectures, seminars, excursions and exhibitions) for the benefit of members and the general public.
