Real People Reel Stories specialises in helping you realise your family history documentary, business chronicle, or pet tribute through the wonder of a video biography, creating timeless memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Located near Brisbane, Queensland, we believe that everyone has a story to tell, not only famous people. Share your struggles and successes, your wisdom and values through a personal video memoir that will live forever.

Projects

Video Biography - A video biography, or family history documentary, is a brilliant way to record your life story for the benefit of your family and friends. Whatever your life story, whoever you are, to your family your memories are priceless. We understand that everyone has a unique story worth telling.
Business Chronicle - Whether your company or school is looking to celebrate or reflect, entertain or educate our custom made videos are carefully crafted to capture the unique aspects of your business and its staff. Record your organisations history, mark an anniversary, or even acknowledge the career of a retiring executive.
Pet Tribute - Immortalise your furry family member with a video pet biography. No matter what type of pet you have, we can create a delightful video tribute to them. We will take your treasured photos and even video footage of your beloved family pet and create a priceless DVD set to music.

In May 2005 a small group started up in Beenleigh decided to start a society up when we heard from Glenys Prins of the Logan River and District Family History Society Inc were going to close due to lack of membership. It was decided to join this group and save them and move the group to the Beenleigh and District Historical Village. We out grew the space at the Vizllage and moved to the Kingston Butter Factory where we had been offered a space. From an initial membership of 14 we have now grown to 78 members (Sep 2014).

Projects

We are now researching a book on the Early Settlers of the Kingston and Woodridge area of Queensland.

Document Analysis: Getting the Most from your Research Documents

Obtaining genealogical information from documents is a key skill for any family historian. Generally a document has been obtained to determine some key information such as a birth, marriage, death, probate etc which will help in furthering your research. It is important to ensure that all the information contained within the document is abstracted not just the answer to your current problem. This presentation looks at ways to ensure you have wrung out every last scrap of information available in your document.
