Our first newsletter

Thank you for joining the Unlock Crew. We hope to bring you loads of interesting information. Initially our newsletters will be irregular. We hope in time to bring you regular news and updates.

We will also be posting regular news and updates on our twitter and facebook profiles. So become a fan or follow us and give us feedback on what we are doing. Have a look below for some of the new things we are doing.

What is new?

Blogs
New blog entries are being added weekly and this should continue to be a useful source with other contributors being added soon. The latest blogs are:

Events
Events on our website are now opened up so that you can add your own event. So if you are involved in organising an event add it to the list for increased exposure. You can also request sponsorship if you would like.

Logo and website
Our logo has been re-designed ... tell us what you think. Also we have released a new version of our website. We did this in late January and have been slowly enhancing it since.

Members of our team
Our team is expanding. We have two more additions in the last few weeks - Aimee Engler (SA) and Kerry Farmer (NSW). For more details on each member of our team have a look at their biography.

Resources
This is an area we hope to expand greatly in the coming months. For now we have a couple of items that may be of interest.

Events

Other than the many events we sponsor and list we will be organising some of our own.

Regional roadshows
These will be to a specific region where we meet with and offer presentations to local organisations. We are currently planning five during 2010 and one for 2011. More are also being considered.

• Brisbane to Gladstone
• Brisbane to Southern QLD, Northern NSW
• Adelaide to Port Lincoln
• Melbourne to Shoalhaven
• Shoalhaven to Melbourne
• SE South Australia & Western Victoria

National roadshows
A National roadshow is planned in the latter half of the year.

History expos
Currently planned are expos in Sydney and Adelaide.

Publications
In 2010 we will be begin to publish a number of books. Here are some on the way from Shauna Hicks.

We have big plans for the website. As mentioned earlier we hope to greatly expand our resources section. In the coming few weeks we will be adding detailed topic information to our speakers.
