From Little Things Big Things Grow traces the fight for Indigenous civil rights in Australia from 1920 to 1970. It tells the largely unknown story of Indigenous and non-Indigenous activists who fought together for justice and equal rights for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This exhibition details the achievements and sacrifices of the struggle through personal stories, rarely seen objects and protest material.
To them the victory belongs, to them the future belongs, for they, the people, are the real makers of history.
Frank Hardy, 1961
