To commemorate those men and women who fought for this country, the Lilydale & District Historical Society has organised two special events.

On Wednesday, April 13, local military historian Anthony McAleer will give our first evening talk at the Old Lilydale Court House drawing on the more than 100 interviews he conducted when researching his book Shire of  Lillydale & its Military Heritage Volume 2 which covers the Second World War.

Anthony’s talk will begin at 7pm and afterwards tea and coffee will be served. The venue is the Old Lilydale Court House, 61 Castella St. The cost $2 for members and $4 for non-members.
