Immigration Celebrations – Shipping Reunion

THIS IS A COMMUNITY EVENT.

EVERYONE WELCOME.

The Maryborough Family Heritage Institute Inc is celebrating 150 years since the arrival of Prince Consort and Sultana voyages to Maryborough in 1864, also, 140 years since the arrival of the Great Queensland, Glamorganshire, Tim Whiffler and St James. These vessels arrived in 1874.

17th May 2014 (Saturday)

Descendants of passengers from these sailing ships will meet at St Mary’s Parish Hall, Bazaar St., Maryborough  QLD at 9:00 a.m. There will be displays of family photos, trees and stories. Shipping books and souvenirs available for sale.

 

Morning tea free of charge, light lunch $15.00 per head including tea or coffee, soft drinks/ bottled water.

 

6:00pm - Bush Band, Deep Fried Damper, for entertainment at the Hibiscus Room, Carriers Arms Hotel, Alice St. Maryborough. Cover charge $5.

Dinner menu available. Drinks for sale at bar.

 

18TH MAY 2014 (SUNDAY)

Spirit of Hervey Bay, Mary River Cruise

 

First Cruise- Hervey Bay to Maryborough – boarding 8:00am, leaving- 8:30am. Morning tea, Buffet lunch at Carriers Arms Hotel and coach trip back to Hervey Bay.  Cost $55.00 each regardless of age.

 

Second Cruise- Maryborough to Hervey Bay

Coaches will leave Carriers Arms Hotel at 11:45am with passengers for the second cruise. Passengers to arrive at the Wharf 12 Noon. Boarding- 12:30pm.

Afternoon tea, Buffet dinner at Urangan Boat Club and coach trip back to Maryborough.

Cost $55.00 each regardless of age.
