To celebrate History Week in South Australia, the Cornish Association are holding a night of brief talks.
Inspection of the library devoted to all things Cornish will occur at 7pm and the talks will commence at 7.30pm.
Guest speakers are:
- Margaret Johnson (CASA Committee) "Reflections of a 20th Century Migrant"
- Keith John (former head of the Dept of Mines) "Cornish Mining"
- Noel Carthew (President of the Adelaide Harmony Choir) "Music in the Cornish home"
- Rev. June Ladner (minister of Kadina Wesley Uniting Church) "Methodism & the Cornish"
- Dr. Rosanne Hawke (author and researcher) "The Pasty"
A supper featuring Cornish pasties, tea & coffee will be served.
The meeting will finish at 9.30pm
Bookings are required. Members please bring a plate of supper.
