Find out all about the area's very earliest history and its buildings with long time local resident, Graham Jaunay. Glenelg was originally centred on the Bay Road, but a commerical centre developed in Jetty Road. This walk will embrace the heritage features centred on the Glenelg foreshore precinct. Unfortunately many of the historic buildings in the area have been razed and some have taken on new roles vastly different from their original purpose. Find out about the history of lost railway systems that radiated out of Glenelg. Each walker will receive a souvenir brochure detailing the walk stations and the railways that serviced the area. Meet at the front steps of the Town Hall in Moseley Square. The walk takes two hours and finishes near the starting point.
