The seminar will demonstrate how to trace your World War 1 military ancestors and their records and then use these records to reveal the various campaigns in which the person saw action and other incidents that befell them. The presentation will use actual records of some soldiers to demonstrate what can be revealed. The First World War was the last war which horses were used as an integral part of the offensive tactics and so part of the presentation also looks at the role of the Australian Light Horse regiments.
