Adopt a Digger  is a community project to commemorate the centenary of Australia's involvement in WW1. Anyone can adopt a WW1 digger  who was born, lived in or had family connections in the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland. After researching their adopted digger, his/her military history is then uploaded to a database on www.adoptadigger.org.  The aim is to acquire information on nearly 1500 diggers from the Sunshine Coast region by 2014.
