Here are the results of our 8th Unlock the Past poll. 142 people voted casting a total of 684 votes. It seems there is interest in events of all types. Most events will be seminars, fairs and conferences by societies and others, most of which Unlock the Past will support. However Unlock the Past will conduct some regional roadshows. In addition we have provisionally commited to 4 major events – expos in Adelaide and Sydney, a national roadshow and a history-genealogy cruise in early early 2011.

Here are the results of our 6th Unlock the Past poll. 214 people voted. 35 said they had been on a cruise before and 28 sent comments.  With over 205 indications of strong interest (definite, probably and partner)  it would seem that a block booking for 300 could be filled. Inevitably some may not be able to come at the time selected, but perhaps some of the 67 “maybes” could be persuaded. And of course we have only given very limited notice to date.

Unlock The Past - Beginnings

Unlock The Past is an exciting new venture that began with discussions between Shauna Hicks (Shauna Hicks History Enterprises) and Alan Phillips (Gould Genealogy & History, Archive Digital Books Australasia) in June of this year.
